Two broad Career Fairs are held each year, one in September and one
in February, to start each semester's recruiting activity. Employers from
all types of industries, businesses and government agencies have an
opportunity to meet students and faculty in an informal setting to discuss
hiring projections and emerging needs. Whether you are recruiting for full-time,
part-time, internship or summer positions or just trying to promote your
image on campus, these events have proven to be valuable for both employers
and students. Online registration for upcoming fairs is available at
the site for the Center
for Career Services.
Annual Diversity Business Summit. Employers seeking to reach
and to assist diverse, traditionally underrepresented students are encouraged
to attend this event. This event occurs in the Fall immediately before the
Fall Career Fair noted above. Recent events have been huge successes. For details about the Fall 2007 event,
email Greg Victory or visit the site for the Center
for Career Services.
Annual Internship Fair. Employers seeking talented interns
are encouraged to attend this Spring event. In 2007, this event was merged with the Spring Career Fair. For information on 2007-08 activities, please email
Debi Walker, Manager of Recruiting and Employer Relations for the Center
for Career Services, or call her at (315) 443-9092.. Online registration for this event will be available on the site for the Center for Career Services,
linked above in the first paragraph.
Additional events. Many of
the school and college members of the Career Services Network stage
specialized career events involving panels, information fairs, and networking
opportunities. Careers and recruiting needs in areas such as communications,
media, government, nonprofits, social services, healthcare, design, and
the environment are a few of the areas covered in recent years.
For more information on career fairs and related events, please email
