Faculty can play a pivotal role in connecting students with events that
promote career exploration and employer connections. They may also
play an important role in attracting employers to our campus and in sustaining
the resulting relationships. The Career Services Network wishes to support faculty
efforts in these areas by providing easily accessible event information
and by insuring that a personal connection can be established.
Information on upcoming career-related events, i.e. career fairs, workshops,
panels, networking events, etc., is highlighted in the Network News section above.
General information about services for employers can be viewed by clicking
on Employers above. Inquiries about the activities of specific employers
or groups of employers can be directed toJennifer Walters, Associate Director for Campus and Employer Engagement or Debi Walker, Assistant Director for
Recruitment Services, in the Center for Career Services, or to Mike Cahill, the Center's Director.
Of course, Jennifer, Debi and Mike would love to discuss faculty connections with employers who
might be approachable about recruiting Syracuse students! Faculty
are encouraged to email
Debi or Mike
or Jennifer with their questons, suggestions, and employer recruitment ideas.
As far as college-specific recruiting activity, faculty should connect with the career
services professionals in those colleges to acquire specific information and to explore how the schools collaborate
across the Network to promote maximum recruitment for all Syracuse students.
