Many Syracuse graduates pursue further education after they leave Syracuse. Members of the Career Services Network can assist alumni/ae in the process of determining the value of further study and the identification and research of specific programs that may best enhance career options. They can also assist with links to information on financing further study, preparing for graduate admissions exams, and relocation, and with a support service for letters of reference and other credentials.

To follow through, consider taking advantage of:

Self-help resources.  Feel free to use the print resources maintained in the career resource area of the Center for Career Services (CCS) if you reside near enough to Syracuse. Also review the web guide to graduate study, accessible above in Web Links.

Advising appointments. Discuss any issue related to career planning, where further study fits in, and how to research programs, financing, etc., with one of CCS' career consultants. To get started, an in-person appointment is recommended for those living near Syracuse, or a telephone appointment for others.  Such appointments can be made by calling the Center for Career Services at 315-443-3616.

Credentials Service.  The Center for Career Services can maintain and transmit letters of reference and other supporting materials for you. Email Pam Latham to learn more about this service.

Transcripts. To obtain a transcript or have one sent to someone else, you must follow the instructions provided by the Registrar's Office.

Additional SU Resources.  Other members of the Career Services Network at SU may help alumni with concerns relative to further study. Students considering studies in medicine and other health-related fields should connect with the Health Professions Advisory Program.
