Services/Programs: ECS Cooperative Education Program provides undergraduate students with an exciting opportunity to not only graduate from Syracuse with a degree in hand, but to also leave campus with at least two summers of paid work experience! Co-op allows students to combine their academic studies with professional work experience related to their major. Co-op is a two-summer experience for ECS students. The program allows students to gain nearly 8 months of paid work experience and still graduate within a four-year time frame.

The ECS Year Abroad Program allows students the opportunity to spend a year as a student at British university in London. Bioengineering students usually spend their sophomore year abroad while all others spend the entire junior year studying in London. Students take a normal academic load alongside their British counterparts while receiving full Syracuse University credit. Each student is assigned a British advisor and has all the advantages of membership in the host university, student residence halls, and the Student Union. Other opportunities include summer research programs in Florence, Strasbourg, or Madrid, or an academic semester or year in one of the partner universities worldwide who are members of the Global Engineering Education Exchange consortia with SU.
