Services/Programs: A full range of pre-law advising, related workshops, informational mailings, speakers, and events.

The goal of the office is to prepare students for the law school application process and to introduce the breadth of the legal field. Staff members include a current SU Law student dedicated to pre-law advising.

A sample of pre-law events and information has included:

• Introductions to services for first- and second-year as well as transfer students
• Pulished timetables of activities for juniors and seniors
• Overviews of the law school application process
• Workshops on selecting law schools, writing a personal statement, test anxiety, and financial aid considerations
• Law School Day, an October event in which representatives of 70+ ABA-approved law schools convene in the Schine Student Center to speak with prospective students and to provide application materials
• Distinguished Lawyer and Jurist-in-Residence lectures
• Alumni roundtables
• SU College of Law Visitor's Day for students of color
