Career services at Syracuse are provided through offices in the schools
and colleges as well as by certain all-university centers.
Together they comprise the Career Services Network. Not every
office deals with the full career development spectrum of self assessment,
career research, experience gathering and post-graduate transitions, but
all embrace a career development process model that allows for referrals
between offices and insures that students capitalize on all the related
services and resources on the campus.
Students are encouraged to identify the resources in their home schools
and colleges early in their Syracuse career. They should also visit
and familiarize themselves with the wide-ranging resources and services
of the Center for Career Services as well as the other all-university offices of the Network. These offices work collaboratively
on career-related events and information dissemination so that many students
can be served. It is, however, the responsibility of students to make career
planning a priority throughout their Syracuse experience.
Parents can achieve a deeper understanding of how all these services
work together by reviewing the summaries of the Network
members as well as the career development model and the
6 Stage development model that guide their services.
Emails and phone numbers are provided in each summary and parental inquiries
are welcome.
